Santa Marta
Santa Marta is a Tourist,
Cultural and Historic Colombian city; it is the capital of the Department of
Magdalena and third major urban center of the Caribbean Region. It was Founded
on July 29th, 1526 by the Spanish conqueror Rodrigo de Bastidas[1],
It is the oldest existing city in Colombia and the second oldest in Sudamérica.
Santa Marta is an
attractive tourist destination. It has many interesting places to visit:
1.
Take a tour to Sierra nevada de Santa Marta, is a
magical destination, and the land of The Aruacos Tribe. It is the highest
elevation near the sea, independent of the Andes mountain range.

Swim and enjoy the
Rodadero Beach, one of the most beautiful beach in Colombia.

As beautiful as Rodadero
Beach are the Taganga Beach.
4.
Other touristic place is
the Tirona National Park, is one of the most beautiful natural park of Colombia.
It has nice bays and beaches, it mixes the stunning colors of the Caribbean Sea,
the tropical flora and the paradisiacal beaches of the Atlantic coast.

Who visit Santa Marta
should go to Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, the place where Simón Bolívar
died. (Simón Bolívar was the Liberator of Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and
Perú)
